as an aroace character designer i feel thisi'm very salty about itdo not disrespect my craft by conflating the worth of those two things automatically or i will bite youwhether or not a character is fuckable DOES NOT ONCE appear on my radar when i design charactersi could not care less about thatit all comes down to the desired concept and thematic cohesion of the designit has to tell a storyconvey personalityread clearly from a technical execution standpointand YES sexiness can absolutely be included in that!i'm not here to exclude people who like to draw sexy stuff just because i don't!and YES I KNOW that there is a lot of variety in beauty standards and what is considered 'fuckable' for different people in different placeBUTyou are actively limiting yourself in your scope of creativity/analysis if you operate ONLY on the 'are they fuckable' scalecharacter design is a very difficult and complicated skilldo not miss the nuance of everything else just because you're hornyif they end up fuckable in your mind then that's merely a bonus for younot NECESSARILY the intent of the designer (again nuance)and regardless of the intent that does not make it immune to criticismwhether the design itself is good or notyou have to look at the whole pictureyou can put your favourites higher on your lists because they're fuckable if you wantthat's all well and goodwe've all got our biases and preferencesbut don't pretend that that approach is an exhaustive critique of the materialor a proper assessment of its overall worth eitherthank yousigned - a very tired designer
